Lunch time doesn’t have to be a struggle. Make something that is healthy, flavorful and quick with these Turkey & Hummus Wraps. Use lunch meat or leftover turkey and add it to a tortilla along with hummus, avocado and sprouts.
I feel like I’m always looking for new lunch ideas. I’m a work-from-home mom, so having something in the house that I can make or heat up is a must. Especially now that my toddler’s nap time coincides with lunchtime, making it tough to run out and grab something.
Lately I’ve been working at keeping some basic ingredients in the house that can be customized in a variety of ways for lunch. Things like rice, whole wheat bread, tortilla, salsa, lunch meat and avocados.
This tasty wrap was a recent creation and I’ve been enjoying it for lunch quite often.
Have you ever tried hummus on a wrap or a sandwich? It’s so good! It adds a lot of flavor and texture to this wrap.
I used sliced turkey lunch meat to make this wrap, but it’s also a great way to use up leftover chicken or turkey. I’ll definitely have to remember this one after the holidays later this year.
Avocados are a favorite in our house, and I almost always have one that is ripe and ready to eat. My toddler loves them too so I cut one up and use half for my wrap and give half to William.
I also added some fresh sprouts to this wrap. I love the taste and texture of sprouts, but it’s optional if you don’t care for them.
