Thanks for stopping by today! I was so excited to be tagged by Corinna from For My Love Of to be a stop on the Tour Through Blogland. What is the Tour Through Blogland? It’s basically a behind the scenes look at the lives of bloggers each Monday.
I am always interested to hear how other bloggers work and see pictures of their homes, work areas, and day-to-day lives. If you saw my post on community, you know that as bloggers we have lots of “friends” that we have never met! I love this tour because it’s a great way to get to know each other.
This is where I blog! As you can tell, I love having lots of pictures decorating my workspace. They make me smile. You may remember the great computer catastrophe that took place a few months ago. Since then, I was able to get that shiny new (well, new to me) laptop! Isn’t she pretty?
I’ve been trying to get more organized, so I put together this adorable blog binder! Inside is a calendar so I can schedule when my posts go up, lists of ideas for posts, goals for my blog, information on my current sponsors, and more.
Do you want even more behind the scenes pictures? You should follow me on Instagram! I share what I’m doing, what I’m cooking and what I’m eating!
1) What am I working on? I’ve been working on a big event I’m going to be hosting with lots of other bloggers for the first week of Fall. You will definitely want to visit each day during September 21-27 for all sorts of Fall-themed posts.
2) How does my work differ from others from its genre? I think my recipes are part of what sets my blog apart! I have been working on a lot of healthy recipes lately, which are harder to come by in the blogging world. I also try to incorporate a lot of my life into my blog, which isn’t always the norm for a food blog.
3) Why do I write/create what I do? I love cooking and creating new recipes! I’ve always enjoyed making dinner or a delicious dessert for my friends, so I knew it would be something I would love blogging about. Like I mentioned before, I’ve been trying to come up with healthy recipes lately since I’ve been making some changes to live a healthier lifestyle. It’s awesome to be able to share those recipes with others who are trying to eat better, too.
4) How does your writing/creating process work? I keep a list of ideas for posts, but sometimes I get an idea and just start working on it write away! I usually take pictures first, whether that means cooking and taking a picture of the food, or going to a restaurant to take pictures for a review. Then, I edit the pictures in PicMonkey and put the post together. I usually have several posts I’m working on at a time. I try to schedule my posts as far in advance as possible, but I usually have the next 2-3 weeks ready at any given time.
I’ve tagged 3 friends to participate in the Tour Through Blogland! Be sure to check out their posts next Monday, September 8.
