Happy Thanksgiving, y’all! It’s one of my all-time favorite holidays. Mostly because it’s an entire day devoted to family and food. Sounds good to me! I’m taking a break from sharing recipes today to be thankful for some of the wonderful blessings in my life.
It’s been a busy week here on the blog! I’ve been having a lot of fun celebrating my first blogiversary. Today I’m taking a break from blogging to spend time with my family. I’m excited for a huge Thanksgiving dinner, pie, playing games with my cousins, and enjoying a bonfire once it gets dark.
Thanksgiving is a time where we are reminded to be thankful. A few months ago I read One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp. It inspired me to write down all the blessings and things I am thankful for each day. So for me, Thanksgiving is more than just one day. It’s something I want to do year-round.
Here’s what I’m thankful for this year:
+ Spending time with family on Thanksgiving. I’m so blessed to have my family near by and be able to spend the day with them.
+ My incredible boyfriend, Andrew. He is such a great encourager and has been my biggest supporter with this blog.
+ I got to go visit my brother in Nashville this past weekend. It was a lot of fun to spend time with him and see a new place.
+ My blogging friends. I have really been encouraged this week to see so many people helping me celebrate my blogiversary.
+ Speaking of my blogiversary, I’m thankful for all I have learned and how much my blog has grown this year! I can’t wait to see what the next year brings.
+ The holiday season! November and December are my favorite months. I love the cooler weather, all the traditions, seeing decorations and lights everywhere, shopping for presents, and spending time with family.
What are you thankful for?
