Have you ever tried making dessert in a slow cooker? I have always wanted to, so when My Cooking Pots sent me a Crock-Pot Slow Cooker to review, I knew I had to try it!
This time of year I love spending time with friends around a bonfire. It’s even more fun when we make s’mores! This cake takes the concept of a s’more and turns it into a moist and delicious cake.
I’m starting to realize how amazing slow cookers are! I must admit, I’m getting a little obsessed. I love being able to just throw a bunch of stuff in and have a delicious meal ready a few hours later. I can’t wait to try making more recipes with it.
One of the best things about this slow cooker is that the stoneware insert is removable, which makes cleaning a breeze! It’s even dishwasher safe.
Another great feature is the cooking time presets. Once it has cooked for the set time, it automatically shifts to the warm setting. This is great for when you are going to be gone all day! You don’t have to worry about your food overcooking if you run a little late.
This Slow Cooker S’mores Cake is so easy to make! I spent less that 15 minutes mixing everything together and putting it in the slow cooker. It’s perfect for entertaining because you can forget about it while you get the rest of the meal ready.

Oh that would be so good! Steel cut oats are way better than regular oats for some reason.

will this work in a 2.4L? I’m new to crockpot cooking and the last recipe i made was too big!
Jenna Brussee says
I made this recipe in a 6-quart crock pot, but the cake didn’t even fill it halfway up. Also, it doesn’t rise very much. So you should be fine to use a smaller crock pot. After you put the cake batter in, see how full it is. If it’s too close to the brim, just remove a bit of the batter.
Jaelan @ Making Mrs. M says
What a great summer treat (no one needs a camp fire in summer).
Jenna Brussee says
Exactly! This is a great way to still get that s’mores flavor.
theladylawyer says
oh my this could be dangerous! I don’t like baking but I think I could do this!
Jenna Brussee says
It’s dangerous for sure! This is so easy to throw together, I guarantee you won’t mind making it.
Haley says
Loved it!!! Only issue was it took cake about 4 hours to bake throughly
Geneva says
Can this recipe be doubled? Also can I cook on low for double the time to prevent burning?
