In addition to sharing recipes like my Dark Chocolate and Peanut Butter Granola Bars this week, I’m also sharing a few fun things to do in my hometown of Sarasota, Florida. Yesterday I talked about the Savor Sarasota Restaurant Week going on right now, and today I’m sharing another must-do weekend activity: the Sarasota Farmers Market.
Every time I go to downtown, I’m reminded that I don’t spend enough time there. There is so much to do and see! The Farmers Market is a great way to see the area.
It’s pretty hot here in Florida this time of year, so you’ll want to get to the market early to avoid the heat of the day if possible. I was wishing I had brought a hat or sunglasses. As you can see in the next picture, the sun was very bright that day!
There are lots of places to find food for breakfast or lunch at the market. I grab a cup of coffee from the Java Dawg Coffee truck almost every time I go to the farmers market. Their iced coffee was so refreshing on this hot day!
Do you live in Sarasota, or have you ever traveled here? One of my blogging goals lately is to share more of my favorite things to do and places to eat here in Sarasota, as well as my travel finds. You can also see more of my local favorites by following me on Instagram.
Do you love going to your local farmers market? What is the best thing about it?
