Pinterest is my absolute favorite place to find new recipes! If you are like me, you probably pin hundreds of recipes but rarely try them. I’ve been making a point to try more of the recipes I’ve pinned lately. Today I’m sharing a few of my success stories!
Have you noticed some of the changes that Pinterest made lately? They have made it super easy to use Pinterest as a search engine. I tend to use it more than Google when I’m searching for a recipe to use a specific ingredient since you get to see pictures, too.
I love the filtering options that pop up at the top when you do a search, too. I might type in something like “dinner recipes.” It helps me figure out what I’m looking for by offering ideas to further filter my search such as “healthy” or “for two.”
So let’s talk about the recipes I’ve tested and approved…
These No Bake Mascarpone Cheese Fruit Tarts from Chef Savvy were how I discovered mascarpone cheese! I used a premade graham cracker crust instead of following their recipe for the crust. It was so simple. This dessert was a big hit at one of our cookouts a couple months ago. Pin it!
Salmon is one of those things that I have never really liked, but I’m realizing I just hadn’t tried the right recipe yet! This Teriyaki Salmon with Sriracha Cream Sauce from Damn Delicious was the turning point for me. It’s so incredibly flavorful! Pin it!
A few months ago I discovered a fun, easy dinner idea: throw a bunch of ingredients in a foil packet and bake it in the oven. All the flavors combine and cook together so well. This recipe for Honey BBQ Bacon, Chicken and Sweet Potato Packets is my favorite by far. Pin it!
Sometimes I scroll through Pinterest while watching a game with Andrew and his roommates. Sometimes I show them a recipe I came across. Sometimes they tell me to make it right then and there. These Rice Krispie Treat S’mores were one of those times! If you love rice krispie treats and s’mores, do yourself a favor and make these! Pin it!
My mom likes to find a dessert I’ve pinned to make me for my birthday each year. This year it was this Chocolate-Peanut Butter Pretzel Layer Cake from The Wetherills Say I Do. So I can’t actually take credit for making it, but I did taste-test it! It’s a win for sure. There is nothing like the combination of peanut butter and chocolate for me. Pin it!
As I’m making this list, I keep wondering to myself why I haven’t made some of these recipes again. This Slow Cooker Thai Chicken Soup is definitely one I need to make again. Words can’t even describe how wonderful your house will smell while this soup is cooking! Pin it!
We tried this Creamy Avocado and Spinach Pasta but made our own zucchini noodles to use instead of pasta. SO GOOD! The sauce is super creamy and goes great with the zucchini noodles. If you are trying to eat better but missing pasta, this is the recipe for you. Pin it!
A couple weeks ago I got to test out a Wolf Convection Steam Oven at Mullet’s Appliances. One of the recipes I made was this Sea Salt & Rosemary Focaccia. I don’t eat bread very often, but this was so worth it! Pin it!
