Last year I shared a post about our dinner rotation after you guys requested it on my Instagram stories. Meal planning is something that I love to do and often share about it on Instagram.
Trying new recipes is always fun, but I have a master list of our favorite recipes that I pull from as I create my meal plan each week. This saves me so much time and keeps meal planning easy because I’m not constantly trying to figure out what to make.
To keep all the recipes together, I created a folder on my phone that has the links to all of the recipes. When I sit down to meal plan each weekend, I just open up the folder and pick which recipes I want to make.
Since last year, our rotation has changed some and I’ve added in lots of new recipes. So I decided it would be fun to share with you the recipes we are currently loving!
Our Current Dinner Rotation
Turkey Sloppy Joe Rice Bowls from A Joyfully Mad Kitchen: This healthier, from-scratch version of sloppy joes is so tasty! My toddler absolutely loves this one, too. I typically have these ingredients in the house so it’s a good go-to for a night when I can’t decide what to make.
Slow Cooker Amish Beef and Noodles from Go Go Go Gourmet: Comfort food at it’s finest! We have a lot of Amish restaurants near us and this is one of my favorite type of meals to order. I love this recipe because I can make it at home in my slow cooker!
White Chicken Enchiladas from Alyona’s Cooking: Over the past couple years, I’ve been working on making more items from scratch instead of buying pre-made from the store. For example, enchilada sauce. This recipe is made totally from scratch and is so flavorful!
Grilled Chicken with Bacon Feta Asparagus: To make this meal, I marinate some boneless chicken in olive oil, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, dried basil and dried oregano. When it’s time to start dinner, I cook the chicken on the grill. Inside, I’ll chop asparagus into small pieces. I cook bacon in a skillet and then sauté the asparagus in the bacon grease. I toss the asparagus, chopped up bacon and feta cheese together and serve with the grilled chicken for a low carb meal.
Grilled Ranch Pork Chops from A Savory Feast: This post from my blog is one of our favorite meals! It’s so simple to make and tastes so good, too. I like to serve it with some veggies and Crispy Sheet Pan Roasted Potatoes from The Clean Eating Couple.
Roast Chicken with Mashed Potatoes and Gravy: One of my all-time favorite meals! I have been loving making the chicken in my dutch oven and then serving it with mashed potatoes, gravy and a vegetable. Of course, I always throw the bones and scraps in the slow cooker after to make my homemade bone broth.
Healthy Lemon Chicken Soup from The Clean Eating Couple: This is a new one to our rotation. I love how flavorful this soup is with the lemon and rosemary! It’s really good for leftovers, too. I also like how she includes instructions for how to make it in the instant pot or the slow cooker depending on what I’m wanting to do that day. I’ve also made it on the stovetop in my dutch oven using leftover shredded chicken.
Italian Ground Turkey Stuffed Shells from A Savory Feast: These stuffed shells are perfect for meal prepping! I always make at least a double batch so that I can freeze a pan for another night. They stay good in the freezer for a couple months and reheat great.
Country Potato Soup from Magnolia Table Cookbook: I love this cookbook from Joanna Gaines! Everything I’ve tried has been amazing, and this potato soup has been on our regular dinner rotation ever since we tried it. I serve it with crumbled bacon and shredded cheddar cheese.
Savory Breakfast Bowls: Lately we have been loving breakfast-for-dinner. One of our favorites to do is a savory breakfast bowl. I make the Crispy Sheet Pan Roasted Potatoes from The Clean Eating Couple and throw in a bowl with bacon, chicken, scrambled eggs and sautéd veggies.
Homemade Pizza: We love having a homemade pizza night! I love this pizza dough recipe from Sally’s Baking Addiction. Depending on what we are craving or the ingredients we have in the house, we dress it up with different toppings. One of my current favorites is my Bacon Alfredo Pizza recipe.
Cream Cheese Stuffed Burgers from A Savory Feast: Burger night is another regular in our house, and one of our favorite things to do is make stuffed burgers! This recipe for Cream Cheese Burgers is so yummy. It’s stuffed with bacon, cream cheese and cheddar cheese. What’s not to love?
