One Trick to Make Mason Jar Salads Even Easier!

August 28, 2014 by A Savory Feast 16 Comments

One trick to make Mason Jar Salads even easier!

In my quest to eat better, one of the hardest things for me is lunch! It’s a lot of work to plan ahead in order to pack lunches. It’s even harder to try and think of healthy things to pack. If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen the solution I found to this problem — Mason Jar Salads!

Just search them on Pinterest and you will find loads of ideas and recipes! The nice thing about these salads is that you can put together all of your lunches for the week quickly and easily. Each morning, you can grab one on the way to work. So simple!

Today I’m sharing one trick that will make Mason Jar Salads even easier to throw together! Instead of buying all the ingredients separately, buy salad kits!

Salad Kits

Depending on the size of the kit, you only need to buy one or two for the week. So for $3 to $6, you have all of your lunches for the week! It saves so much money because you don’t have to buy all the lettuce, veggies, fruit, cheese and salad dressing separate.

Using a salad kit also saves time because you don’t have to chop up all the veggies. Plus, there are lots of different kits to try, so you can have a different salad each week.

Do you need some some mason jars? I know I need to get some more! One of the best deals I’ve found on them is to order them from on Amazon.com!

This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links. I’ll receive a commission if you purchase. However, I only link to products I actually use and recommend.

This couldn’t be easier! I love that you can add the salad dressing, too, instead of having it separate. Otherwise I would probably forget it!

I think I’ll be trying this on my hubby. He tends to eat worse at lunch because I’m unprepared for him to take anything, so these salads will be perfect. Thanks for sharing your trick, Jenna!
