Lake Buena Vista Resort & Spa

December 18, 2014 by A Savory Feast 11 Comments

One of my favorite benefits of living in Florida is that I am less than 2 hours away from Orlando! Because we live so close, we usually just drive up for the day. But last weekend I was able to enjoy a relaxing weekend at Lake Buena Vista Resort and Spa!
Lake Buena Vista Resort and Spa

Disclosure: I received a complimentary stay at Lake Buena Vista Resort & Spa and a pedicure at their spa in exchange for this review thanks to Stay Sky. All opinions are my own.

Andrew and I were so excited to be able to take a mini-vacation before the holidays with a few of our friends. We couldn’t have asked for more beautiful weather! It was a great weekend, and I am so excited to tell you all about it today!

One of the best things about staying at Lake Buena Vista Resort & Spa is that it is more like staying in a spacious condo. It almost feels like you are at home! We stayed in a two-bedroom suite that had a huge balcony with a pool view, a full kitchen, and a large living area.

LBV Balcony ViewWe loved having a full kitchen to be able to make breakfast on Saturday morning! It was stocked with all of the pans, plates, glasses and utensils we needed to make and eat our pancakes, eggs and bacon.

The balcony table was a beautiful place to eat our breakfast. We had a great view of the pool and enjoyed the holiday decorations, too.

LBV Living Room

This isn’t your normal cramped hotel! We had plenty of room to spread out. Each night when we came back to the resort we took some time to unwind and chat in the living room.

If you have more guests staying with you, the couch also pulls out into a bed!

LBV Kitchen

You could stay here for weeks with the amenities that make you feel at home. The kitchen had a full-sized refrigerator, oven, microwave and dishwasher. Don’t worry about bringing wine glasses or picking up coffee in the morning. Everything you need is here!

LBV Bedroom

This suite is perfect for families! The second bedroom is huge and has two beds. It has a bathroom with a shower and tub and a big closet. I liked being able to unpack thanks to the closet and dresser.

LBV Master Bath

The master bedroom and bath is one of the highlights of the suite! Wouldn’t you love to relax in this bathtub after an exhausting day at Disney? There is also a walk-in closet and his-and-her sinks.

LBV Spa

On Sunday morning, my friend Katie and I went to the spa to get pedicures! I loved that the spa was so close. We had great service and the atmosphere at the spa was very relaxing. After our busy day at Disney on Saturday, it was so nice to be pampered before driving home.

In addition to pedicures, the spa offers massages, manicures, facials and more. Be sure to check what their specials are when you go!

LBV Pool and Pirate Ship

It was a little too cold to enjoy the pool, but the resort would be a lot of fun in the summer! You can still enjoy one of the hot tubs during the colder months or visit the poolside bar for food and tropical drinks.

There are lots of other great amenities on the premises, like a convenience store for anything you may have forgotten. There is even a restaurant! Andrew and I went to Frankie Farrell’s when we arrived on Friday night. It was great to be able to walk to dinner after making the drive.

Also attached are the Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores. After checking out on Sunday morning, we walked over to do a little shopping. They have some great outlet stores!

The resort is in the perfect location! It’s just a few minutes away from all the Orlando attractions such as theme parks, Downtown Disney, the Mall at Millenia and much more. Next week I’ll be telling you all about celebrating the holidays at Hollywood Studios, so stay tuned!

Have you ever been to Orlando? What is your favorite part of the trip?

We definitely took advantage of the kitchen! We made cookies one night and made breakfast on Saturday morning.

It was a blast! Maybe someday we can do a blogger meet up and stay in a resort like this.

It was perfect! We enjoyed being able to cook a little bit while we were there. More than anything, it’s just nice to have the freedom to do that!

Disney World is something you have to do at least once! I love living close by so I can visit every now and then.
