How to Crop a Picture into a Circle using PicMonkey

How to Crop Pictures into a Circle Using PicMonkey

Today I want to share a helpful tip for my blogging friends! I love using circular pictures in my blog design, and I knew there had to be a way to create them using PicMonkey. I just love PicMonkey! I use it to edit all my blog photos and add text.

The best part is, you can do this with the free version of PicMonkey! I still use the free version myself. I’ve toyed with the idea of getting the paid version so I can have more fonts and options, but I just haven’t bit the bullet yet.
Circle photo step 1
Step 1: Go to PicMonkey and choose a photo to edit. At the very top of the menu is “Basic Edits.” Find the crop option. Change the drop-down menu to “Square.” You can make the square bigger if needed.
circle photo step 2
Step 2: Under the “Frames” option on the menu, choose “Rounded Corners.”
Circle photo step 3
Step 3: There are several options that show once you click “Rounded Corners.” Check the “Transparent Corners” box and move the “Corner Radius” all the way to the right.

Step 4: Save your picture as a .png or the corner’s won’t be transparent.

And that’s all there is to it! It’s such a quick edit to do, but it makes a big impact on your blog! If you are looking for more tips and tricks to help you improve your blog, be sure to check out my other blogging resources posts.

Ooh this is a great tutorial. I didn’t realize it was so easy, and picmonkey would make it transparent too.

That is awesome! I love round pictures–and I’ll definitely be using this quick crop on my blog. I’ve pinned it, too!

This is awesome. I know this is going to sound really lame – but I’ve tried to use PicMonkey and just can’t figure it out! I feel like I can’t do anything unless I get the paid version??

I’ve been able to do just about everything with the free version! It would be nice to have more fonts, but so far I’ve been ok without paying extra.

I tried to do this the other day and never thought about the rounding corners option. I imported it into publisher and messed about with it there, took ages! I am definitely saving this for next time!

Maybe one of these days I will upgrade. Every now and then I try to use something and am disappointed because it’s for Royale users only.
