Favorite Sarasota Restaurants: The Broken Egg

July 14, 2014 by A Savory Feast 52 Comments

The Broken Egg Sarasota Florida I hope you all don’t mind me sharing one of my local favorites today! If you are ever in Sarasota, Florida, this is one place you have to go: The Broken Egg!

Going out for breakfast on a Saturday morning is one of my all-time favorite things to do. My boyfriend, Andrew, worked every Saturday up until about a month ago. I could count on one hand the number of times we got a Saturday off together, and most of them were to attend weddings or some event. Now he gets every other Saturday off, so we always have a big breakfast, whether we go out or make it ourselves. Favorite Sarasota Restaurants: The Broken EggThe Broken Egg is open for breakfast and lunch, but I prefer going in the morning. They have wonderful service, too. They always keep my coffee mug full and get the food out to me quickly. Giant Pancake at The Broken EggWhat should you order? Here are some of my favorites:

Colossal Pancakes: You saw just how HUGE these are in the picture. My favorite is blueberry, but there are lots of options. It’s hard to eat the whole thing, but they are so good!

Sydney’s Favorite Skillet: All of their egg skillets are so flavorful and packed with all sorts of tasty ingredients. My favorite has bacon, onions, bell peppers and cheddar cheese.

The Broken Egg Breakfast: (Pictured above) If you are crazy enough to think that the colossal pancake won’t fill you up, why not get it with eggs, meat, and a side? The nice thing about this meal is that they give you a small portion of everything other than the pancake, so you can enjoy it all and then eat as much of the pancake as you can.

Buffalo Chicken Wrap: If you go for lunch, this is one of my favorites. You know know much I love buffalo!

The Broken Egg is located at:
4031 Clark Road
Sarasota, FL 34233

Meet one of my sponsors!

square photoI am so excited to introduce you to Ellie from Choosing Peace! She write about her life and shares helpful posts such as 7 Tips to Secure the Start of Your Career. I love her blog name and enjoyed hearing about how she chose it here. Keep reading to learn a little more about her!

What is your favorite thing about blogging? My favorite thing about blogging is the community that it offers and all the great people I get to meet and have met over the past two years.  I also love having a space that encourages me and drives me to write.

Where do you hope to go on your next vacation? My hubby and I are in the beginning stages of planning our next vacation – we haven’t really had a vacation since our honeymoon two years ago.  We’re hoping to go somewhere warm, tropical, sunny, and sandy within the next year or so!

What is your favorite ice cream flavor? I have a total weakness for coffee flavored ice cream.  But Michigan Deer Traxx ice cream comes in at a close second – peanut butter cups and chocolate fudge in vanilla ice cream. Yum oh yum!
