Obsessed with avocado toast? Take it to the next level with this recipe! A tasty breakfast that you can make in 10 minutes, Everything (but the bagel) Egg and Avocado Toast will be your new go-to.
Today I’m sharing my latest foodie obsession with you… Everything (but the bagel) seasoning! It’s the seasoning that you typically find on an everything bagel from a bakery and it can be used on all sorts of foods.
My current favorite way to use everything but the bagel seasoning is as a tasty topping for a fried egg. In this recipe, I combined this creation with avocado toast. If you love avocado toast and want to try a new way to top it and make it even yummier, give this a try!
This simple recipe starts with your favorite slice of bread. You can use whole wheat, gluten free, homemade or whatever you have in the house. For these pictures I used Trader Joe’s Organic Soft White Bread.
Once your bread is toasted, slice up half of an avocado and lay the slices on top of your toasted bread along with a dash of salt and pepper. Up next is a fried egg, cooked however you like it (I love making it runny so that it oozes out over my toast when I take the first bite!).
The final touch is a sprinkling of Everything (but the bagel) seasoning!
How to Upgrade Avocado Toast

How to Fry an Egg
I love a runny egg, so I usually fry my egg over easy or sunny side up for this recipe. You can cook your egg however you prefer. If you need some help, this is a great article for learning how to fry the perfect egg.
Where to Find Everything (but the bagel) Seasoning
This is the seasoning blend that you would find on an everything bagel from a bakery. It’s delicious on so many things, but I especially like to sprinkle it on my eggs! I’ve seen Everything (but the bagel) seasoning at most of my local grocery stores. Trader Joe’s definitely has it, or you can order from Amazon if you can’t find it locally. I got mine at Detwiler’s Farm Market which is a local Sarasota/Bradenton store.
