When we first moved into our house, I thought the kitchen was a great size. This was the first time I had a kitchen all to myself (no sharing with roommates!). I thought it had quite a bit of cabinet space. But then I started filling up those cabinets and quickly ran out of space!
I’ve had to be pretty creative in order to fit everything and keep it organized. Lately I’ve had to take a second look at it and try to make even more space now that William is starting to eat some foods. I’ve got his baby spoons, bowls, bibs and cups to think about now!
So today I’m sharing some of my favorite tools for organizing my kitchen, as well as some new ones I’ve found to help me create even more space.
This is an area I am really needing to figure out in my kitchen! I hate when the tupperware is a mess and I can’t find a matching lid. This organizer would be perfect in my kitchen.
I love using these interlocking drawer organizers for silverware, kitchen utensils and other small items. They really help you make the most of drawer space while making it easy to find what you need.
Spice Rack Organization
I use this pull-down spice rack to keep all my spices organized. I love that all of the spices are visible so that I can easily located the one I need.
Coffee Mug Organization
This is how I organize my coffee mugs. You can fit twice the amount of mugs in the same space! I got mine at Ikea, but here is a similar one you can order from Amazon.
I’m also needing a better way to organize my pots. Right now I have them stacked in a cabinet. It can be such a pain to unstack them when I want the one in the middle! A rack like this one would be so helpful!
Save space and keep the lids to all of your pots organized with one of these racks! This is how I’ve been organizing this area of my kitchen ever since we moved into this house. It’s always easy to find the right size lid and I love that they have a designated space in my cabinet. This rack is also great because it fits on the door of the cabinet to save even more space!
My house doesn’t have a pantry, so I used an IKEA Billy Bookcase to make one! You can read all about it and see all the baskets and containers I used to organize it in this post.
