When we first moved into our house, I thought the kitchen was a great size. This was the first time I had a kitchen all to myself (no sharing with roommates!), so at first I thought it had quite a bit of cabinet space. But then I started filling up those cabinets and quickly ran out of space!

I’ve had to be pretty creative in order to fit everything and keep it organized. Lately I’ve had to take a second look at it and try to make even more space now that my toddler is starting to eat more food. I’ve got his baby spoons, bowls, bibs and cups to fit into my kitchen now, too!

So today I’m sharing some of my favorite tools for organizing my kitchen, as well as some new ones I’ve found to help me create even more space.

Tupperware Organization

This is an area I am really needing to figure out in my kitchen! I hate when the tupperware is a mess and I can’t find a matching lid. This organizer would be perfect in my kitchen.

Drawer Organization

I love using these interlocking drawer organizers for silverware, kitchen utensils and other small items. They really help you make the most of drawer space while making it easy to find what you need.

Spice Rack Organization

I use this pull-down spice rack (pictured above) to keep all my spices organized. I love that all of the spices are visible so that I can easily located the one I need.

Coffee Mug Organization

The picture above is how I organize my coffee mugs. You can fit twice the amount of mugs in the same space! I got mine at Ikea, but here is a similar one you can order from Amazon.

Pot Organization

I’m also needing a better way to organize my pots. Right now I have them stacked in a cabinet. It can be such a pain to unstack them when I want the one in the middle! A rack like this one would be so helpful!

Lid Organization

Save space and keep the lids to all of your pots organized with one of these racks! This is how I’ve been organizing this area of my kitchen ever since we moved into this house. It’s always easy to find the right size lid and I love that they have a designated space in my cabinet. This rack is also great because it fits on the door of the cabinet to save even more space!

Pantry Organization

My house doesn’t have a pantry, so I used an IKEA Billy Bookcase to make one! You can read all about it and see all the baskets and containers I used to organize it in this post.

What are some of your favorite organization solutions for a small kitchen?

I love quite a few of these ideas! Our kitchen is tiny, and space is something we don’t have a lot of. I also don’t have a pantry and use a cabinet that we bought at Target years ago in our laundry room!

The laundry “pantry” is a great spacesaver! I just didn’t have any cabinet space to spare for pantry items so it works great for me.

Love these ideas! I always feel like i need more room in my kitchen! I build a bench with storage in our dining room and that helps to hold larger, but not frequently used items.

That is such a great idea! I wish I had room in my dining room for something like that.

omg.. where have you been all my life?! I hate my kitchen and how there is NO STORAGE. but I like everything away, like not storing things on top of cabinets. I’m so weird like that. I love and I’m stealing your coffee mug, spice rack, and pots/pans hack! 🙂

I am with you, I hate having stuff on top of my cabinets! It just looks so unorganized and out of place.
