Easy, Healthy Lunch with Progresso Soups

January 7, 2016 by A Savory Feast 23 Comments

This week on the blog is all about getting a good start to the year with healthy lunch ideas. Today I’m talking about one of my current go-to’s for a super easy mid-day meal.

Easy, Healthy Lunch Idea with Progresso Soups

Earlier this week I shared an easy recipe for DIY Instant Noodle Cups and now I’ve got another simple solution for lunch time. Whether you pack a lunch for work or school or need healthy lunches to keep in the house, this is just the thing!

Progresso Light is great to keep on hand. It’s easy to stock up on them, and they require no prep work at all! When you are getting ready for work or school, just grab a can to take with you.

One of my New Year’s resolutions is to eat better. I’ve noticed lately that one of my weaknesses is lunchtime. If I don’t plan ahead and have something good in the house, I’m often tempted to go out and grab something.

Since I work from home, I like to take the time to heat up my soup on the stove. It just tastes better to me that way! But if you are on the go, it’s so easy to heat these up in the microwave, too.

So far my favorite Progresso Light flavor is Chicken Pot Pie Style. They also have lots of other tasty flavors like Creamy Potato Bacon Cheese, Beef Pot Roast and Chicken Cheese Enchilada. All 10 of their Light flavors are 100 calories or less!

Progresso Light can help me reach my New Year’s resolutions with at least 33% fewer calories than regular ready-to-serve soups.

I’d like to try Progresso Light Chicken and Cheese Enchilada Soup.

Progresso soups have been a staple in my kitchen for years because many of them are gluten free (many other brands are NOT) and they are so tasty. Soup really has a bad rep because many varieties are made with lots of heavy cream and cheese, making them delicious, but not very healthy. I love that you are bringing soup back to the table as a healthy alternative for lunch!

You are so right about this! I try to go gluten-free when I can and avoid creamy foods too. These soups are perfect! They are all flavorful but much better for you.

I will use their soup to eat during my lunch hour and then take a quick walk around our building. The light chicken noodle soup.

This soup would make me feel fuller and eat less. I like the light chicken and dumpling flavor.

Progresso can help me with my health resolutions by filling me up with nutrients instead of calories! I’d like to try the creamy potato with bacon and cheese.
