Oreos are my favorite type of cookie! They are so good in all kinds of desserts, but they are amazing in truffles! They can be messy to make, but you only have to have a few ingredients on hand and you can whip them up in a hurry.
Were you lucky enough to find some Cookie Dough Oreos yet? I heard about them months ago and looked for them every time I went to the store but couldn’t find them. Finally, one day I checked the cookie isle to find ONE package. I was so excited to try them! They definitely lived up to the hype for me, I like them almost as much as regular oreos.
Cookie Dough Oreos are now a lot easier to find in my area, and I hope they keep them around for awhile! I knew they would be perfect for truffles. I want to try making some other desserts with them, too!
I got fancy and made some chocolate shavings to top the truffles with. All you need is a grater and a bar of chocolate. If you don’t have a bar of chocolate, you can use sprinkles or drizzle white chocolate over the truffles.

Cookie Dough Oreo Truffles
Ingredients
- 36 cookie dough oreos, finely crushed
- 1 8 oz package cream cheese
- 2 cups chocolate chips, melted
- 1/4 cup chocolate shavings, or sprinkles
Instructions
- Combine the oreos and cream cheese in a bowl and mix until well blended.
- Roll the oreo mixture into about 48 (1 inch) balls.
- Dip the balls in chocolate and place on parchment paper. Sprinkle with chocolate shavings.
- Let stand until the chocolate is hardened. Store in the refrigerator.

Meet Sarah from 12 Twenty Seven! I have been following her blog for awhile, so I was excited to get to know her more during her sponsorship.
Where do you get the inspiration for your blog posts? Inspiration for my blog posts come from anything that is put on my heart. When I first started blogging, I decided that I would strictly be a faith-based blog and that I would only post devotions, prayers, verses, etc. But as I started to grow, I asked God to lead me in the direction I needed to go and I started incorporating my faith posts with lifestyle posts. Being such a newbie, I’m still struggling to find my happy medium between the two but I’m happy with where I’m at right now. I like to find inspiration in the everyday in addition to my walk with the Lord!
What is one type of food you can’t stand? I absolutely cannot stand mayonnaise. I don’t like the texture, I don’t like the taste, and, I don’t like the way it looks! I’m very happy that I married someone who can’t stand it, either.
What are you reading right now? Oh gosh. This is such a tough one. I would like nothing more than to tell you that I just started an amazing novel that keeps me flipping through the pages buuuuuut that would be far from the truth. Here I shared with you that I decided to start the Harry Potter series again but I’m sad to say that I haven’t made much progress. I love to read but I can’t find the time!
Sarah @ 12 Twenty Seven says
I’ll be craving those truffles until I make them myself–guess that is some motivation, eh?! Annnnd it totally slipped my mind that the highlight is/was today so my Monday blues have turned into the Monday yays (I don’t know, I just made that up)!
