For Cinco de Mayo, invite your friends over for a movie night featuring Nacho Libre. Serve a simple movie snack from José Olé. It’s sure to be a no-fuss party that everyone will enjoy.
Cinco de Mayo falls on a weekday this year. If you are planning to get together with friends, a simple party is the best way to be sure you have fun without getting stressed out.
José Olé makes your party even easier with their delicious appetizers. Grab a variety of flavors and you’re all set!
To get ready for my Cinco de Mayo party, I headed to Publix to grab the appetizers. José Olé is a national brand, so you can find it at most retailers nationwide. Be sure to bring this coupon to save $2!
I chose the Beef & Cheese Mini Tacos, Chicken & Cheese Nacho Bites and Chicken & Cheese Taquitos. They have lots of other fun varieties to choose from, too.
Pick a variety of different appetizers so that you are sure to please everyone. Before your party, preheat the oven and get the appetizers arranged on a baking sheet. Once everyone arrives, stick them in the oven so you can serve them shortly after the movie begins.
Because this is a no-fuss weeknight party, keep the decorations simple and easy. I just grabbed some fun party napkins while I was at the store. They make all the difference!
You’ll also want to be sure to have plastic plates and cups to make cleanup a breeze. And don’t forget to grab some drinks! Sodas are perfect to complement these salty snacks.
These snacks are the perfect thing to munch on while watching the movie. You’re guests will love having appetizers that are perfectly themed for Nacho Libre. So grab your party supplies and invite your guests today!

Which José Olé snack are you going to serve for Cinco de Mayo? I’d love to hear your favorite!

I don’t always remember, either, but this year I did! Even if it was a little early…

And now I want some taquitos…. *sigh*
Yay MAY! May means our first anniversary. 🙂

These taquitos were so good! You should definitely give them a try. And happy 1 year! That is awesome.

Maybe you should invite some family, like cousins, maybe from your moms side of the family… just a thought.
Calvin Feikema says
i’m just kidding, but I haven’t seen you in a while so we should do some sort of party with the cousins some day.
Jenna Brussee says
I agree! We definitely need to get all the cousins together. Someone has a birthday coming up! 😉

I love cinco de mayo parties, they are always so fun and remind of being back in San Antonio. Those tacos have always been my guilty pleasure. Why make homemade when those little things are so good haha
Jenna Brussee says
They are SO GOOD! I had them for lunch yesterday.
