If you’ve been around for awhile, you’ve probably noticed how much I love smoothies! I’m always looking for new ways to make them. Most of the time, my combinations are a result of trying to use the various ingredients I have in the house.
A few weeks ago I started drinking a green powder each morning. I had been feeling really exhausted each day, even though I was getting plenty of sleep and eating well. I had heard that green powders are great for energy, so I gave it a shot. I’ve noticed a huge difference in how I feel each day!
Usually I just mix the powder with water and drink it down as fast as I can. But when I have a little extra time, I like to blend it into a smoothie to disguise the flavor.
I also had some chia seeds and flax seeds in the house, and I’ve been trying to find more ways to use them. One of my favorites so far is Chia Seed Energy Bites! But they are also great blended into a smoothie.
In addition to these healthy ingredients, I used blueberries as the main ingredient. It’s a superfood, and it’s my favorite fruit to add to a smoothie. They turned this smoothie such a pretty color, too!

I love the texture that the chia seeds add to it!

I am addicted to smoothies. I need to start adding flax again. May I suggest an awesome healthy addition to this? We came across it a few months ago. It is great for those who can not have grasses due to allergies. Blendfresh!! Amazing!
