Happy Friday! Blogger Love is my favorite way to end a great blogging week. Building community and supporting other bloggers is so important to me, so I love this chance to share some of my favorite posts from the past week.
Heather from Divas Run for Bling reminded me how much fun a color run is! She shared 4 reasons why you should run a Color Run. I agree!
I try to avoid pasta, so I’ve been looking for some healthier alternatives. Erica from The Crumby Cupcake shared a Sweet Potato Noodle Tomato Mushroom Alfredo.
My favorite Etsy shop, Oh Simple Joys, just added these adorable Reader’s Digest Decorative Book Letters. Too cute!
I’ve been collecting DIY throw pillow ideas because they are SO expensive to buy! You can make this pillow using a potato!
Minimalist Baker shared this yummy recipe for a Blueberry Maple Protein Shake. I’ve never thought of putting maple in a shake. It sounds delicious!
Coffee Date
It’s the last Friday of the month, which means it’s time for another coffee date with Dearest Love. This link up is a fun way to get to know each other! I’m sharing a few highs and a few lows from the past week.
Highs from the week:
+ I bought my wedding dress this week!!! If you live anywhere near Sarasota, Florida, be sure to check out Brides Against Breast Cancer. Everyone there is so nice, and you can find any style of wedding dress for any budget. I was able to get an amazing deal on mine!
+ I finally found some time to get my room organized and get rid of a bunch of clothes and other things I didn’t need anymore. It feels so good to declutter!
+ This weekend Andrew and I are celebrating 2 years together! I’m also looking forward to a day off together tomorrow so we can make breakfast and have a relaxing day.
Lows from the week:
+ It’s been overcast and dreary all week. I can’t wait for the sun to come out again!
Just in case you missed it…

I’ve always wanted to do a Color Run so I’ll be checking out her post next!
Happy 2 Years! 🙂

Color Runs are SO much fun! You should give it a try when they come to your area. Thanks, lady!

Congrats on your wedding dress! Getting the dress makes everything more real and also reduces so much stress! Once I had my dress, I was so relieved and didn’t stress out about much else (just my photographer!)
Jenna Brussee says
The most stressful thing for me so far was finding the venue! Everything in my area is really expensive, and it’s hard to find a place that lets you bring in your own catering. Now that all the big picture things are nailed down, I’m sure the rest will be a breeze!
Anna @ The Beauty Section says
Yay you found your wedding dress!! So exciting! And I love decluttering it just feels so great to simplify life sometimes. I can’t wait for sunshine either, we’ve had an ice storm and a snow storm within 2 weeks and I’m just so ready for Spring at this point. Hurry up Spring! 🙂
Jenna Brussee says
Thanks, Anna! I’m super excited. I can’t believe how much snow and ice you got! We had some pretty cold days the past few weeks, but nothing like that.
Leelee says

Yay for finding a dress!! I’ve been eyeing those Oh SImple Joys book letters too. I can’t decide if I want an S for my new office/craft space or a P for our living room. (Or both?)
Jenna Brussee says
I say both! Hahah I absolutely love anything monogrammed, so I am excited to get something like these letters for my new house when I get married.
Jenna Griffin says
I definitely had to click the link to find out how someone made a pillow out of a potato! So glad they only used it to stamp with. Haha. 🙂 Yay for finding your wedding dress! so many great exciting things going on for you!!
Jenna Brussee says
The title was very intriguing, wasn’t it? I loved the idea and need to try it soon!
Thanks, Jenna! I’m having so much fun with the wedding planning.
Jenna Brussee says
I love sweet potatoes, but I’m not sure how they will be as noodles. It’s worth a try, though! I hope the snow lets up a bit for you.
Meagan says
