It’s been a little crazy around here lately, and I’ve missed Blogger Love the past few Fridays. But this week I’m back to introduce you to one of my dearest blog friends and sponsor for this month, Madison from The Wetherills Say I Do!
If you haven’t been to Madison’s blog before, you are missing out! She is a lifestyle blogger who shares recipes, DIY tutorials, blogging tips, lessons she has learned about marriage and more. She is also a talented graphic designer and runs Grace + Vine Studios. She designed all the graphics for Hump Day Happenings!
A Few of my Favorites from Madison…
Madison recently threw a English Tea Bridal Shower for a friend, and she shared all the details! I loved all their cute favors, decorations and desserts.
I’ve been dreaming about some updates for the blog, so I really appreciated Madison’s list of Top WordPress Themes for Lifestyle Bloggers.
As I mentioned earlier, life has been pretty busy lately! I am learning how much I need to take time to rest and be refreshed. I really enjoyed Madison’s post about The Importance of Self Care.
If you need a quick and easy meal idea this weekend, Madison had a delicious Quick Meal Idea for the Easter Season. Yum!
Let’s Get to Know Madison With a Few Fun Questions!
Where do you find inspiration for your blog? I have a constant running list on my iPhone that I keep track of ideas whenever they hit me. Oftentimes I’ll read a blog post and come up with an idea, sometimes completely off topic, or I find a lot of inspiration from Pinterest as well. Mostly though I try to take inspiration from the things that are going on in my life at the time!
What is your favorite type of post to write? I have really loved writing graphic design related posts for bloggers recently. They’re so fun for me to write because I can share my knowledge of blog design and help empower bloggers to learn a little about graphic design!
When you aren’t blogging, how do you like to spend your time? Most of my free time apart from blogging is spent running my graphic design business or just spending time with my husband! We are both in an incredibly busy season so our quality time is limited by the amount of work we both have, so we cherish whatever time we get to spend together.
What is your favorite thing about Spring? Spring is just so refreshing! I think everyone loves spring so much because it’s such a breath of fresh air after a harsh winter (even if you live in the south like me!). It’s so nice to have sunny days and get to enjoy the warm weather.
I love seeing your recipe posts! What is your favorite type of food to cook? I think my most natural abilities are in making desserts, thanks to my huge sweet tooth! I really enjoy making dinners too, though I don’t post about them as often. Dinner is often the only time of day I get to sit down with my husband and enjoy time together truly unplugged!
Did you always enjoy cooking, or was it something you developed along the way? I didn’t dislike cooking growing up, I just didn’t really know what to do or even how to help in the kitchen. After we got married and I no longer could rely on a meal plan in college, I was kind of forced to learn a little about cooking and in the process I really found a passion for it! I always say that I love cooking because I get to use my hands to make something. Working behind a computer all day, it’s nice to get away from the computer screen and keyboard and just create!
I also love reading your posts about marriage. What is your favorite type of date to go on with your husband? I really love simple dates, like going out for ice cream or a coffee date. Dinners out are also a special treat and those are some of my favorites because there’s food involved and we get to just be together and talk about whatever has been going on lately!
