Avocado Vegenaise Sauce

August 5, 2014 by A Savory Feast 4 Comments

Avocado vegenaise sauce
I’ve been on an avocado kick lately. If you have been following me lately, you know that my boyfriend and I have been making some changes to eat better and be healthier. We have been trying to make healthier dinners, and avocados are perfect for that!

This sauce is AMAZING! You can use it for just about anything. The first time I made it, I grilled some chicken and made some brown rice. I put the avocado sauce on top and it made a basic meal so good!

Recently, Andrew and I made these delicious sandwiches with whole wheat buns, grilled chicken, turkey bacon, and this avocado sauce. It was one of my favorite sandwiches ever, and it was good for us, too! The recipe is coming to the blog very soon, so stay tuned!

Here’s the Recipe:

1/2 ripe avocado
2 tbsp vegenaise
1/2 fresh lime juice
Pepper to taste
Salt to taste
Onion Powder to taste

1. Use a spoon to scrape all of the avocado out of the skin and put in a small bowl.
2. Add vegenaise, lime juice, pepper, salt and onion powder.
3. Mix well.

It’s similar to mayo but better for you! I usually have to ask someone in the grocery store to help me find it.

I concur, I have never heard of vegenaise! Does it taste like regular mayonnaise?

It’s similar! It tastes a little different to me, but I like it better!
