Avocado Tilapia

August 18, 2014 by A Savory Feast 6 Comments

Avocado Tilapia

I have been cooking with avocado like crazy lately! There are so many ways you can use it. A few weeks back, my boyfriend and I came up with a delicious sauce made from avocados. Since then, we have been finding all sorts of ways to use it! One of my favorites so far was our Ultimate Chicken & Avocado Sandwich.

We make tilapia all the time because it’s healthy and delicious. We decided to try topping the tilapia with this avocado sauce, and the result was amazing! The sauce tastes so good when it’s baked. It’s so creamy, you will think it’s bad for you!
avocado vegenaise sauce You can get the recipe for this Avocado Vegenaise Sauce here. This meal is so easy and only needs a few ingredients! I served it with brown rice and a side of spinach. You put together this meal in under 30 minutes, so it’s perfect for a busy weeknight.

Here’s the Recipe:

4 tilapia filets
Avocado Vegenaise Sauce (get the recipe here)

1. Preheat the oven to 400.
2. Line a baking sheet with foil and place the tilapia on top of the foil.
3. Bake for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and spread the avocado sauce over the tilapia.
4. Bake for 5 minutes at 400, then broil for 2 minutes or until browned.

Yummy! That looks so good AND it combines two of my favorites – fish and avocados!

I never thought of baking a sauce with avocado in it before. Smart!

Yes! I love avocados. In fact, I have one that is ripe so I need to do something with it soon.
