If you haven’t tried making your own salad dressings, you’re missing out! This Avocado Ranch Salad Dressing is so simple to make and you probably have most of the ingredients in the house. Use it on your favorite salad or as a dip for veggies!

Over the past few years, I’ve been challenging myself to make more and more things from scratch instead of buying it at the store. Salad dressing was one of the first things I tried and I rarely use store bought now!
While there are definitely some good brands out there, most store bought salad dressings have lots of extra ingredients, preservatives and more. Instead, make it yourself with a few simple ingredients and it will be much better for you.

The creamy base of this salad dressing is greek yogurt. Creamy salad dressings are my favorite, and using greek yogurt is a healthy way to get that wonderful texture. It also makes this dressing high in protein and calcium.
Avocado is also a healthy addition to this dressing. It gives the dressing extra creaminess, healthy fats and a pretty light green color.
Lime juice gives the finishing touch to the flavor of this dressing. It’s the perfect balance of tart lime and creamy greek yogurt and avocado.

This simple salad dressing takes about 5 minutes to make! Throw all the ingredients in a food processor and blend. If you don’t have a food processor, you could use an immersion blender or a blender.
How To Use This Salad Dressing
This Avocado Ranch Salad Dressing is perfect for your favorite salad. I love it on a cobb salad or with a southwest-style salad.
You can also use it as a dip for veggies! It’s great to serve as part of a veggie tray at a party.

The real ranch dressing is not made with yogurt, correct? I only go with balsamic vinaigrette because I feel that all the other dressings are so heavy. but this one sounds amazing. I will try it out and let you know how it turned out!

Because you cannot pronounce a chemical term/name, it is “bad for you”?
Jenna Brussee says
Not always! If I don’t know what something is, I’ll often look it up. Most of the time when it’s some big word that I can’t pronounce, it turns out to be something that isn’t great for you.
