This week I’ve been sharing lots of fun posts during the Fall Welcome Week, an event I’m hosting with 18 other bloggers. Football is definitely one of my favorite things about Fall! I’m having a lot of fun trying new appetizers and finger foods each weekend, and sharing them with you during Football Foods Friday.
I used to hate peeling eggs, but I’ve learned the secret to perfectly peeled eggs! After cooking the eggs as you normally do, immediately place the eggs in a bowl of ice water. You may have to add more ice or cold water as the eggs will warm the water up. Wait until the eggs are cooled and then peel them. They should peel easily!

Avocado Deviled Eggs
Ingredients
- 12 eggs, hard boiled
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- Dash of salt
- Dash of pepper
Instructions
- Slice the eggs in half and remove the yolks. Place the yolks in bowl and set the egg whites aside.
- Slice the avocado and scoop out the filling. Add to the bowl.
- Add mayonnaise, cayenne pepper, salt and pepper to the bowl and mix well.
- Spoon the avocado mixture back into the egg whites.
- Garnish with a sprinkle of cayenne pepper.

Jenna this sounds soooo good. I never would have thought to pair the avocado with the egg, but it sounds amazing. I’m really kind of wishy washy when it comes to avocado, sometimes I love it, and other times I couldn’t care less. But I think the creaminess of the avocado would be absolutely perfect for this dish. Great idea!
