Aloha Daily Good Greens: Three Ways

November 10, 2014 by A Savory Feast 16 Comments

Are you looking for an easy way to add more green to your diet? I found a delicious powder that can be mixed with water, added to your favorite salad, or blended with a smoothie. I’m sharing my experience trying Aloha’s The Daily Good packets for a week.

Aloha Daily Good Greens Three Ways

Disclosure: Aloha provided me with samples of The Daily Good in exchange for a review. However, all opinions and recipes are my own.

I couldn’t have picked a better week to try adding The Daily Good from Aloha to my smoothies. I had been sick twice the week before, so I needed a little extra push to get back to feeling normal again.

From day one, I noticed that after adding a packet of The Daily Good to my lunch smoothie, I felt so much better the rest of the day! My mind was focused and I had so much energy. For me, my lunch break is a time to reset and recharge for the rest of the work day, so this is just what I needed.

Here are just a few of the benefits of using Aloha’s The Daily Good packet, according to the box:

  • Detoxifies and Helps Balance Weight
  • Improves and Firms Skin
  • Boosts Energy and Hydrate
  • Defends with Powerful Anti-Oxidants
  • Strengthens Immune System

Aloha Daily Good

I’ve been wanting to add more green veggies to my diet, but didn’t know how to do it. These packets are filled with organic spirulina, spinach, moringa, peas and wheatgrass. When I made my first smoothie using these packets, I decided to try adding a little spinach to my smoothie as well.

I had always thought I wouldn’t like spinach in my smoothies, but I really enjoyed it! I’m not sure if I’m ready for a full-spinach smoothie, but adding in a small handful along with frozen berries tastes great.

Aloha The Daily Good Smoothie

Each box of The Daily Good comes with three different flavors: Original, Berry Blend and Chocolate Cacao. Since you take one packet a day, it’s nice to have different flavors to change things up. I get tired of having the same thing day after day.

After just one week of using these packets, I noticed a big difference in how I felt! Typically it takes me awhile to recover from being sick, but I felt better the day I started taking the packets. I had more energy each day and felt focused.

I created three different ways to enjoy The Daily Good. For each recipe, add all the ingredients to a blender and combine. Then get ready to feel energized and ready to take on the rest of your day!

The Everything Smoothie
1 packet of The Daily Good original
6 oz water or juice of your choice
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 cup oats
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1/2 cup frozen mixed berries
1 small handful spinach leaves

Strawberry & Spinach Smoothie
1 packet of The Daily Good Berry Blend
6 oz water or juice of your choice
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1 small handful spinach leaves

Chocolate Peanut Butter Shake
1 packet of The Daily Good Chocolate Cacao
8 oz milk
1/2 cup peanut butter

How do you add more greens to your diet?

I always just add kale to my smoothies. I’ve never even heard of these packs. What a great way to boost your smoothie. I’m going to look into these – looks so good! Thanks for sharing!

I can’t handle kale yet, but I’m working my way up to it! I’ve been adding spinach and that is still really good.

I tried to be a smoothie person but I fell off the bandwagon…I think, though, I might start back up again after the new year!

You should try it! I’ve been eating a smoothie every day for lunch for the past few months. I add oats to make it more filling. Lately I’ve been getting brave and adding spinach and other things besides fruit to my smoothies.

Jared made us a smoothie with green apple and kale before. The green apple masked most of the kale taste, but there was an unmistakable bitterness at the end. I would prefer spinach in my smoothies too!

I much prefer spinach, too! I thought I didn’t like green smoothies, but I found out it was just the kale I didn’t like. I’ve been adding spinach to my smoothies for a few weeks now and I really like it.

The chocolate one would be really good with the powdered PB2 peanut butter! It mixes really well in smoothies! I am definitely going to look those up and try them out!

You should do the free trial! I need to try it with the PB2. When I first saw that stuff in the store I thought it was so weird! But then I heard how great it is in shakes, so I think I need to try it.
