What does a foodie’s bucket list look like? It’s filled with recipes to cook, places to travel to (just for the food!) and techniques to learn. I’m sharing my bucket list of everything food-related I want to try in 2015.
I usually don’t do New Year’s Resolutions, but I do like to set goals for what I’d like to accomplish in the new year. My foodie bucket list is just a fun collection of things I’d like to do this year.
A Foodie’s 2015 Bucket List
Find more ways to use phyllo dough. Last year I made these Phyllo Wrapped Asparagus. This dough is crazy good! I’ve been wanting to try some new recipes using it, so I’ll be sure to do that throughout the year.
Make homemade pasta. This is something I’ve been wanting to do for awhile now. I’ve had fresh pasta at restaurants before, but I can only imagine it would taste so good homemade! It’s a lot of work, but definitely something I’d like to try.
Find a good ramen restaurant. When Andrew and I were in Nashville last year, we tried a ramen restaurant for the first time. We don’t have them here in Sarasota, so I’ve been looking for a place within an hour or two of here. If you haven’t tried ramen, you need to add it to your list of foods to try this year!
Start an herb garden. I love adding fresh herbs and spices to my recipes. It can get expensive to buy them each time, though. Having a little garden with a few of my favorites like basil, rosemary and oregano would save money and encourage me to use fresh herbs more often.
Go on a food road trip. I want to take a weekend (or more!) and drive around finding new places to eat. If you did this, would you plan out all the places you wanted to go to, or see what you find as you drive?
Try juicing. To kick off the new year right, Andrew and I want to try doing a juice cleanse and incorporate more juicing into our diets. I learned some Juicing 101 from Daisy at Simplicity Relished, and we just bought a juicer.
Visit a winery. I think taking a tour at a winery would be such a fun experience! I’ve been looking up wineries near me, so I need to pick one and set a date to visit this year.
Get a KitchenAid mixer. Every foodie dreams of owning a KitchenAid. There’s just nothing like it. This is the year I’m going to get one!
What’s on your foodie bucket list for 2015?

This is such a fun idea! I don’t think I’ll be writing a specific blog post about this but this sounds like a ton of fun! I may have to make my own list 🙂

You should! I would love to see what’s on your list. We still need to cross off making homemade pasta together someday…

Oooooh yay! I’ve never ever used phyllo dough before so that is a GREAT bucket list item. And finding a local ramen shop is on our list too– until we make our own of course (the real kind, not instant, haha). Thanks so much for the mention by the way. I hope you love juicing!

You should definitely try phyllo dough! It’s so good. And if you make your own ramen, please please please share the recipe!

KitchenAids are amazing! I bought one on Black Friday the year after I graduated from college and it’s the most useful thing in my kitchen. Love it!
Jenna Brussee says
That’s awesome! I am hoping to get one this year. I just have to decide which color I want!

First of all, I love my KitchenAid mixer! I was so happy when my dad gave me his and I can’t remember life without it! Secondly, I want to start and herb garden, too. A friend gave me her basil plant when she relocated, and I was so happy to make fresh pesto with it in the fall. That sold me on herbs, and can’t wait to make it again this year. I’m stopping by from the Totally Terrific Tuesday Link Party since I’m co-hosting this week with Jessica. Thanks so much for sharing and linking up this week!

Hopefully this will be the year I get a KitchenAid! I borrow my mom’s all the time and it is amazing. And I’ve been dreaming up my herb garden, too. Everything will taste so much better with fresh herbs.

I love this! We’ve been looking for a good ramen place in our city for months! I feel like they shouldn’t be that hard to find…
Jenna Brussee says
I agree, where are they hiding? Do you use Yelp? It’s a great way to find specific types of restaurants. I found a ramen place that’s about an hour from me, so I need to find a time to make the drive and try it.

Thanks, Sharon! I had a lot of fun putting this list together. You should get the pasta attachment for your KitchenAid!
