2016: A Year in Review

December 26, 2016 by A Savory Feast Leave a Comment

Another year is coming to a close. Today I’m taking a look back at what 2016 was like for A Savory Feast and for me personally. Check out my highlights and top posts of the year!

A look back over 2016 with A Savory Feast. This year's top posts and highlights!

Was it just me, or did 2016 fly by in record speed? This year held a lot of change for me, both in my personal life and as a blogger.

This was my first full year of working full-time as a blogger. It has been such a blessing to be able to work for myself this year since I was pregnant and had our baby in August. I took some time off from blogging when he was born and have slowly been getting back into it.

But man, working from home with a baby is SO HARD! Basically once I felt up to working again, William decided to hate taking naps. He’s been taking super short naps so it can be hard to get much done. I’ve been doing the best I can to get posts up and promote them, but hopefully in the new year I can get into more of a routine.

2016 Highlights

+ Like I mentioned before, this was my first full year of being a full-time blogger. It was definitely a successful year but with having a baby and taking more time off I didn’t see as much growth as I would have liked toward the end of this year.

+ Despite all of that, A Savory Feast still saw an increase in overall pageviews this year! 425,000 hits and counting.

+ A Savory Feast’s combined social media followers is nearly 25,000! This number more than doubled from last year.

+ I got to work with some fun brands this year and had the opportunity to do some more traveling (you can read about our Orlando Weekend here).
